Peter Wang is a freelance recording/mixing engineer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist.

​

Currently based in Boston, MA, Peter graduated from Berklee College of Music in '21 with a Bachelors in Music Production and Engineering.

​

With a strong background in Classical and Jazz, Peter specializes in recording and mixing acoustic-based music, ranging from Classical orchestras to Rock bands to large Jazz ensembles, though he also has experience mixing a variety of hybrid productions as well.

Esta es una canción muy íntima para mi, y quería que el video que la acompañara se sintiera igual, como si estuvieras dentro de mi cabeza durante mi proceso creativo. Por esa razón decidí yo mismo dirigir mi propio video, algo que nunca había hecho antes. Este Music Video fue grabado estando en mi reciente cuarentena de Omicron, todo en UNA sola toma de mi cuarto durante un periodo de casi 5 horas, donde puedes ver el tiempo pasar desde la luz del día hasta completa oscuridad. Queríamos que el video tuviera un feeling muy orgánico y cero producido, por lo cuál yo mismo grabé todo con mi iPhone y un tripie que nunca se movió. El trabajo de edición lo hizo el talentoso cineasta mexicano y mi querido amigo, Erik Hirschhorn (erikhir.com), bajo su propia compañía de producción Staff Only (staffonlyproductions.com). "Pa Que Me Escuches" es una canción que habla sobre la dura realidad y lucha del artista independiente para poder vivir de su arte, y de que sea escuchada/apreciada por suficientes personas. Hoy en día la mayoría de las personas solo consumimos lo que los grandes medios y redes sociales nos dicen, pero a veces se nos olvida que hay tantas cosas verdaderamente extraordinarias que el ser humano crea y que no son promovidas ni apreciadas por la gente como merecen. Ponte a pensar en toda la belleza de la vida que se nos escapa y no logramos ver, solo por no querer dar segundos de nuestro tiempo, curiosidad y atención a algo que pide a gritos ser compartido, y que fue hecho con tanto amor y dedicada pasión. Este video me tomó 5 horas solo grabarlo, más todas las horas y días que me tomó escribir la canción, grabarla, producirla, mezclarla, masterizarla, lanzarla en plataformas, editar el video y producirlo. Estamos hablando de aproximadamente UN MES de trabajo en lo mínimo. Solo les pido 5 SEGUNDOS DE SU TIEMPO, nada más ni nada menos. Dense la oportunidad de conocer mi arte y lo que tengo que compartirles. 5 segundos son lo mínimo que necesitas para realmente decir por ti mismo si te gusta o no lo que hago, o al menos eso dicen. Lessons

Peter is willing to share all that he's learned, whether that be music theory, mixing techniques, or an instrument he plays.

As much as a 23-year-old can.

Recording

Peter is proficient with many large-format recording consoles, working mostly within Pro Tools systems.  Peter has experience recording ensembles of various sizes, but even if you just need some vocals or voiceover work done, Peter can help you out.

Playing

Peter is proficient on piano, drum set, and trombone, in various styles. He also dabbles in trumpet, french horn, accordion, and electric bass. Surprisingly, he can't play guitar to save his life.

Arranging/Producing

Whether you have a song idea that you would like to flesh out, or you want to spice one up with some horns or strings, Peter would love to help you realize your artistic vision.

Peter has experience editing videos with Adobe Premiere and Final Cut; he also has some equipment for recording video.
